It is a model ecological building that will house the 7th High School, in the area of Terpsithea, on a plot of 6 acres
Forty years it was a dream and now it is becoming a reality. The 7th Glyfada High Schools, which rightfully troubled and distressed hundreds of families in the city, which was a topic of discussion for many years in the local community, becomes a school – blockbuster that does not exist like it in the whole of Attica.
“The school of the future is here and it is – soon – the 7th Gymnasium of Glyfada: A model, ecological school for our children”, emphasizes the Mayor of Glyfada George Papanikolaou. And he adds: “For the last four decades the 7th Gymnasium has been housed in a building that has long been practically obsolete. In recent years we have moved heaven and earth to change this. We found the land and the process to build a new school, we ran into bureaucratic obstacles, we overcame them, we encountered a bunch more problems and difficulties, we overcame them too. Methodically, with hard and quiet work, with passion, we ensure the children of our city a model school roof. We’re solving another major school infrastructure issue – and moving on. The studies have progressed and very soon the implementation of this major project will begin, which will bring the next generations of students to one of the most modern, functional and ecological schools in Greece.
In cooperation with the KTYP and all the competent services, the new building you see in the pictures is scheduled to be built in Terpsithea, on Agios Nektariou street, on a plot of approximately 6 acres.
With special legislation that has already been passed by the Ministry of Education, the construction of the new school building will be done in an urgent manner and will be completed much sooner compared to other similar projects of such scope. The best is ahead.”
