Father Nikiforos Kontogiannis goes from village to village and offers everything he can to the residents
He turns around in the mud and looks for people who need help, people who have been destroyed for the second time by the floods.
The camera of onlarissa.gr spotted him on Glavki this morning to offer his services, as he did the first time visiting many affected areas around Larisa.
The reason for him Father Nikiforos Kontogiannisthe vicar at the Holy Church of the Great Martyr Agios Georgios in Larissa, the priest who became known all over Greece for the hi tech church of Agios Georgios.
Today he is here again in the flooded areas and offers his services to his fellow man, immersed in the mud, setting an example to follow.
“We turn around and see which fellow human beings need help in order to offer it. At least this time it’s a lesser evil. Wherever we can help, we offer cleaners, canned goods that we can, from the offers that the world makes for the affected. We also have many volunteers, we call them partners. One never does anything alone.”
