The positions of Mr. Alexandrou Varveris and Panagiotis Kokkoris were approved by a majority
The positions of Mr. Alexandrou Varveris and Panagiotis Kokkoris in the positions of commander and deputy commander of e-EFKA respectively.
As indicated in a statement, the commander of e-EFKA, Alexandros Varveris, during the meeting of the competent parliamentary committee, referred to the transition steps of the organization towards the digital age, among which:
– in pensions:
In the last 27 months, 678,000 pensions were issued. This has become a reality with the help of modern digital tools such as artificial intelligence and robotic technology. An indication of the progress that has been made is that, while, until a few years ago, it took up to 4 years to issue them, e-EFKA has reached the point where it can issue a pension in an average of 60 days.
Almost all of the outstanding supplementary pensions and almost all of the public sector lump sums have been cleared.
The time for issuing public sector pensions has been shortened, following the activation of the e-DAYK (Individual Employment Status Report).
The percentage of objections to errors in pensions amounts to 12.9%.
– at the service of the citizen:
A network of services has been created in order for the organization to respond to the need for immediate information of citizens about their insurance and pension affairs. This is done with 1555 with very fast response times, with ticketing services for personalized information, with myefkalive with a video call with an e-EFKA employee, with the Digital Communication Room for pensioners and with the Digital KEPAs, which facilitated the daily life of tens of thousands of vulnerable citizens.
The agency’s outdated technological equipment is gradually being replaced, which will allow e-EFKA employees to process transactions faster and handle citizens’ cases more efficiently.
Outdated technology infrastructures and operating systems are migrated to G-Cloudfor security and speed in transactions.
Model Local Addresses are created, transforming the premises into more functional and policyholder-friendly ones.
Afterwards, Mr. Varveris presented the administration’s vision for the coming day, which includes:
– The creation of the new Integrated Information System (ISIS), which is financed by the Recovery Fund and will be the channel for interoperability with the information systems of other organizations, the existing applications and public administration registers.
– The “digitization of the insurance history of e-EFKA”, which will transform all the paper records of all the funds, which joined “forcibly” in 2016 under the “umbrella” of EFKA, primarily protecting all valuable information and making easier access to information from the e-EFKA systems, as well as the provision of support services for the pension awarding system to e-EFKA beneficiaries.
The combination of the above two flagship projects will make it possible in the near future to issue pensions automatically.
– The further activation of the Regional Insurance Control Centers (PEKA). Indicatively, for the period 2021 to 8th/2023, the audits of employers of joint enterprises show that 56,330 on-site audits have been carried out, of which 20,514 were targeted. A check was made for the insurance of 116,542 workers, of which 5,823 were found undeclared and 21,745 out of hours. The respective inspections of employers of construction projects, during the same period, resulted in the issuance of acts imposing administrative fines.
For his part, the deputy director of e-EFKA, Panagiotis Kokkoris, referred to the steps that have been taken in social security from 2012-2014, where he also served as Secretary General of Social Insurance, the period when the KEAO was established . Mr. Kokkoris referred to the institutionalization of 43 illnesses in KEPA indefinitely as irreversible, the abolition of sick books, the extension of the work permit and the identification of pensions received by non-beneficiaries, with a benefit of 350 million euros for the state.
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Adonis-Spyridon Georgiadis, announced an innovative action, which is at pilot level and concerns potential retirees. In particular, he stated the following: “When approximately 6 months will approach, before the insured submits the retirement application, e-EFKA will inform him of the possibility of his retirement and of the necessary supporting documents, which he will have to provide, in order on the one hand to avoids any inconvenience, on the one hand, and on the other hand, his pension will be automatically issued, as it will have been pre-processed. It will be the first time that the state will go to the citizen and not the citizen to the state”.
