The two young fans of Aris, who are being treated at Papanikolaou Hospital in Thessaloniki, injured after the attack that claimed the life of 19-year-old Alkis, were visited today at noon by the Deputy Minister of Interior, in charge of Macedonia and Thrace Mr. Stavros Kalafatis.
Mr. Kalafatis was initially informed about their state of health by their treating doctor, Prof. Stamatios Angelopoulos, Coordinator – Director of the 4th University Surgery Clinic. Then, accompanied by the Commander of the hospital Mrs. Maria Giogatzis and the Deputy Commander Mr. Dimitris Valaroutsos, he went to the ward where the two children are being treated, in adjacent beds, and talked to them.
The two young men described the horrible moments they lived through, during the attack they received and were shocked by both the attack against them and the brutal murder of their 19-year-old friend. Mr. Kalafatis was informed that extraditions were made, one of which turned into an arrest, and expressed sincere condolences to the victim’s family.
According to information, one of the patients, who has head injuries from a bat, will undergo a new CT scan. The condition of both injured is not a cause for concern.
