Three bronze bells were removed from Holy Temples and a chapel in the area of ​​Pieria, by five people – among them a minor – against whom a case file was filed for the crime of aggravated theft.

The thefts took place in the two months of June – July 2023 and three local men, one local woman and a local minor were identified for the case.

Their total loot exceeds 19,000 euros.

In particular, as emerged from the investigation, the three men together with the minor, riding in a vehicle that had been granted to them by their accomplice, removed a total of three bronze bells from two Holy Temples and a chapel.

During the same period, they committed a theft of a vehicle, which was located by the police and attributed to the victim. They also broke into a parked vehicle, taking cash and various items.

The investigation by the police continues to ascertain their possible involvement in other similar criminal acts.

The case filed against them will be submitted to the District Attorney of Katerini.
