“We could have had a dead man”, say the court clerks in the Criminal Registry of the Athens District Attorney’s Office
Metal shelves collapsed and crushed two people at the Court of Appeal of Athens, complain the court employees who will hold a protest show today, November 1 at 12:30 noon.
“We could have been dead”this phrase was on the lips of the colleagues in the Criminal Registry of the Athens First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, after the collapse – falling of metal dexion shelves that crushed a colleague and an employee of a transport company.
Specifically, this morning, during the loading of the shelves with case files, they collapsed and the colleague was trapped under the weight of the case files and irons (who injured his back and legs) and the worker of the transport company.
The magnitude of the danger of the incident is demonstrated by the fact that their release required the help – intervention of citizens and colleagues who were in the area. In general, by pure luck we avoided the worst! We express our support to the two employees and wish them “goodbye”.
