The police made 9 arrests in Neo Heraklion after preventive checks before the rallies that were planned on the occasion of the 10-year anniversary of the murder of the 2 members of Golden Dawn, Manos Kapelonis and Giorgos Fountoulis.
The police presence in the area was particularly increased to avoid incidents

A little before 6:30 in the afternoon, a new alarm was given to the police, as anti-authoritarians began to gather in Pefkakia.
The Heraklion stations of the Metro line 1 (ISAP) and the Suburban line remain closed from 2:00 p.m. by order of the Police.
The Metro and Suburban trains will pass through the stations without stopping and will reopen by order of EL.AS.
“We are ready to handle any situation. We have been watching a movement for some time. The failure of the summer will not be repeated” stressed at radio of SKAI 100.3 the Minister of Citizen Protection Giannis Oikonomou.
The occasion was the gatherings planned for 6 pm in Neo Heraklion, Atticafor the completion of 10 years since the murder of Manolis Kapelonis and Giorgos Fountoulis, guards at the Golden Dawn offices.
A similar gathering was also planned in Patras.

The 21 extreme right-wingers who were arrested yesterday at the airport and are being held in order to be deported they belong to the Italian neo-fascist movement and former political party “Casa Pound”.
It is recalled that yesterday they traveled to Greece in order to take part in a rally scheduled to take place in Neo Heraklion on Wednesday afternoonon the occasion of the ten years since the murder of the two Golden Dawn members G. Foudoulis and M. Kapelonis.
The 21 Italians were taken to the Directorate of Foreigners and administrative deportation proceedings will be initiated against them for reasons of national security.
In particular, and according to police sources, at the request of the Greek Authorities, following information that members of far-right organizations abroad will respond to a call for a rally that was planned for today, Wednesday (01/11)there was an update on air travel of 21 far-right Italians to Greece.
The Greek Police acted immediately upon their arrival at the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos» evening hours of Tuesday (31/10) were arrested and taken to the Directorate of Aliens, where they are being held, in order to proceed against them dadministrative deportation proceedings for reasons of national security.
