In the Mixed Jury Court of Lasithi it has been determined to try the December 1, the case of a 47-year-old man from Heraklion, who he allegedly sexually abused his partner’s minor daughter for almost two years.

Based on the allegations, the stepfather allegedly abused the minor for the last time, just before they were getting ready to go to the hospital and pick up the mother and her newborn sibling from the maternity clinic.

The case was revealed when the minor student, under great emotional and psychological pressure, tried to ask for help from a teacher, but she had the courage to speak to her directly. He approached her to allegedly talk to her about sexually abusing her friend. The teacher, as it became known at the time, suspected that something else was actually happening and in her own way managed to “unlock” the girl, who burst into tears. From that moment, an entire mechanism was immediately and effectively mobilized.

The 47-year-old denies what is attributed to him, claiming that much of what the girl claims is false and has no basis in truth.

The acts with which he is referred to trial concern the crime of continuous rape as well as the crime of abuse of a disabled minor under the age of 14.

It should be noted that the 47-year-old allegedly abused the girl from the summer of 2020, when the child was about 11.5 years old, until the end of September 2022.
