Starting today, another digital service of the Municipality of Athens is being put into operation, through which those interested will be able to search easily and quickly from their computer, the building conditions, and also communicate electronically with the competent service, without having to visit the corresponding department of the Town Planning Directorate of the municipality.

This is one of the total of 211 electronic services of the https://eservices.cityofathens.gr/ platform that citizens now have at their disposal for more efficient and faster service.

“100% of the services of the Municipality of Athens were digitized from scratch. Through each high-level electronic service created, a large and ambitious goal was achieved: to effectively change the relationship of citizens with municipal services, facilitating their daily life. The “next day” of digital Athens is already here”, emphasizes the Mayor of Athens, Costas Bakoyannis, in a statement.

Since February 2020 – when the first electronic service of the Municipality of Athens was activated by DAEM through the https://eservices.cityofathens.gr/ platform – until today more than 355,000 applications have been submitted. Services such as the opening of a family share, the search for plans for urban planning permits, the issuance of a certificate of non-debt TAP, the settlement of debts, the issuance of a tax receipt, the issuance of a civil marriage license, etc. – are today available to citizens, making the Municipality of Athens the only public organization that has digitized all of its services.

How to search for building terms

The new service for building conditions is available on the digital services platform of the Municipality of Athens https://eservices.cityofathens.gr/. By choosing the “Building conditions” service, each interested party can search for the building conditions for the building block they are interested in in four different ways:

  1. Entering the block number.
  2. By typing his address.
  3. Searching for the building block on an interactive map.
  4. Registering the town planning sign.

After selecting the building block, useful information is displayed, such as the building factor, height, land uses, completeness, coverage, while a relevant certificate is automatically extracted from the system in a few seconds. Finally, interested parties are given the opportunity to submit their possible requests to the competent department of the municipality. This new service will mainly facilitate engineers, but also professional brokers who look for building conditions in their daily work. Also, citizens will now be able to know what they can build on the land they own.
