The 56-year-old, according to the warrant, is accused of terrorist acts – supply, transport of weapons and explosives as well as financing on behalf of the terrorist organization DHKP-C
They were arrested yesterday (November 13, 2023) afternoon, by the Special Violent Crimes Directorate, two (2) Turkish citizensagainst which it was pending arrest warrant and convictionrespectively.
It’s about:
- 56-year-old who, according to the warrant, is accused of – procurement, transportation of weapons and explosives as well as financing on behalf of the terrorist organization DHKP-C, and
- 54-year-old against whom a decision of the Three-member Criminal Court of Chalkida was pending for violence against employees in common, simple bodily harm in common in a series and damage to something that serves for common benefit in common.
In addition, both were arrested for failure to appear by reason of refusing to be fingerprinted and for the relevant forgery and weapons law offences, as the former displayed fake identification documents and the latter was in possession of pepper spray.
What did the investigations find?
From the investigations carried out, among others, the following were found and seized:
- fake identification documents,
- mobile devices,
- data storage cards,
- pepper spray and
- amount of money.
The arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
