Regarding the journalist’s opinion piece Mr. Ari Portosalte which had been published on on 21.6.2022 regarding the legal dispute of Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandrou Tarkas by Samby Mionis, next below remedial statement of the journalist, following a request for redress submitted by Mr. Filippakis and Tarkas:

a) I revoke the following phrases and sentences, as well as the general meaning and the entire content of what I wrote on www.skai.gr, on June 21, 2022, and broadcast, through my radio show on SKAI 100.3 FM, on June 28, 2022 and July 1, 2022, regarding the legal dispute between Ioannis Filippakis, Alexandros Tarkas and the newspaper “Demokratia” with Samby Mionis.

b) I withdraw the allegations that Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandros Tarkas blackmailed Samby Mionis. The truth is that there was no extortion, as nothing was found to indicate the commission of a crime. Samby Mionis was never blackmailed and Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandros Tarkas never did this or anything related.

c) I retract the claims that the Deputy Prosecutor in her proposal to the Judicial Council recounted details of blackmail suffered by Mionis and his associates (Stavros Papastavrou and Angelos Metaxas) and that she concluded not to recommend the prosecution of the defendants, because the businessman did not give in to their threats. The truth is that the Deputy Prosecutor does not narrate any blackmail or attempted blackmail but simply repeats, as she had an obligation, what was previously mentioned in the indictment, so that immediately after she reaches the conclusion that there is no evidence of the commission of an offense by Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandros Tarkas . Otherwise, the Deputy Prosecutor would not file an exculpatory motion.

d) I retract the claims that the proposal of Ms. Antisaggeleos was exculpatory, because Mionis did not give in to threats from Filippakis and Tarkas and did not pay them. The proposal of Ms. Antisaggeleos and the will of the judicial council make it clear that no threat was ever made to demand illegal payment by Filippakis and Tarkas against Mionis. The truth is that there were regular consultations between the lawyers of the two sides for a long time and during them, each side raised its demands to reach an out-of-court settlement.

e) I withdraw the claims that the events described by the Deputy Prosecutor are accepted by all involved and have been submitted to the pre-investigation committee of the Parliament before the matter is referred to regular Justice. At no time did Filippakis and Tarkas or others involved in the case accept the facts claimed by Mionis.
f) I acknowledge that what I wrote and transmitted against Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandros Tarkas, as it turned out, did not correspond to reality.

g) I respect and do not question the honor, reputation and professional reputation of Ioannis Filippakis and Alexandrou Tarkas
