The General Staff of National Defense announced the adoption of a new camouflage uniform for the personnel of the Armed Forces. The transition to the new type of uniform will take place gradually, starting with the personnel of the Special Forces and Special Operations Units and will soon be extended to the personnel of the remaining Branches, initially from the SS and then to the PN and the PA, to those who are expected to wear it.
According to the GEETHA announcement, the new uniform, in addition to the vertical increase in the quality of its construction material, also incorporates other modern and in some places innovative features, which improve the overall level of protection, survivability and comfort of the fighter and contribute to a better performance of his mission.
Its final form came after long and exhaustive field tests in a variety of weather conditions and terrains, at sea, in snow-covered environments, etc., by selected Armed Forces personnel, whose opinions on the final result were of the greatest importance.
The new uniform was the execution of a relevant order of the Chief of the GHETHA to change the existing camouflage uniform issued at the end of 2021, in the context of the general decision to upgrade the fighter’s materials, so soon but soon changes will also follow in other wearable materials (accessories, helmets , arbylas etc).

General features of the new uniform:
● The new outfit includes a tunic, collar and combat shirt.
● The variant design remains the same but with a somewhat “lighter” “intensity” of colors (earthy prevails over green).
● Flame retardant fabric with the ability to reduce the infrared trace (anti-IR).
● High level of thermal insulation, durability, waterproofing and ergonomics.
The first presentation of the new camouflage uniform will take place on Monday, November 27, during the inauguration of the new building of the Special Warfare Command of the GEETHA, the announcement concludes.
