In the hands of the Electronic Crime Prosecution a businessman from South Ilia fell, after an operation that took place on Friday morning.
According to information from ilialive.gr, the arrested person is allegedly involved in a case of piracy of subscription channels, with signal sharing of well-known platforms from Greece and other countries.
The Cybercrime Prosecution operation yesterday was simultaneous in many areas of the country, in the context of the complaints made by the major subscription channel platforms for loss of revenue through the sharing of their program at a lower cost by various people across the territory, while the cases these also relate to infringements of intellectual property law and other matters.
According to information, the officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution found in the businessman’s possession equipment related to the distribution of the subscription television program and other data concerning his clientele and the sums of money he allegedly received from this activity.
The businessman was taken to Athens to go through Autoforo there.
There have been no official announcements from the Cybercrime Prosecution until now.
