The auditors of the Independent Public Revenue Authority proceeded with the final revocation of the license to operate a petrol station in the prefecture of Ilia.
The on-site inspection discovered that the station was maintaining two illegal fuel tanks, containing 2,040 liters of marine oil.

At the time of the inspection, 1,008.82 liters of marine fuel had already been placed in the tank.
The search at the gas station revealed a second similar tank, containing an additional 1,031.18 liters of marine fuel.
In addition to the definitive revocation of the operating license of the particular gas station, the two fuel tanks and the tanker were confiscated, while the driver of the tanker, the owner of the gas station and one of his employees were arrested.
Each of those arrested was fined 50,000 euros and the prescribed other penalties for smuggling.
