“Your phone conversations through the already known communication applications are not secure”. The warning was addressed by the National Intelligence Service to government officials and leading state officials, as reported by Kathimerini newspaper.
It was set out in a document sent last week to government ministers, causing concern and fueling scenarios regarding what really led the country’s secret services to proceed with this particular initiative.

It asks them not to use these applications for sensitive matters related to government work, urging them to replace with another, less popular application, which has its roots in Switzerland.
