With the 70-year-old’s confession late Tuesday night to homicide detectives, the puzzle of the 43-year-old’s murder by Salamis.

The 43-year-old mother of a minor child met a tragic death in the early hours of Tuesday in her father’s house where she was literally hiding as her 70-year-old partner had long shown her his wild intentions.

From the statements of the 43-year-old’s neighbors at the homicide court, it emerges that the unfortunate mother lived nightmarish moments at the hands of the perpetrator during the 7 years they were in a relationship, culminating on the evening of December 1 when, after he brutally beat her, she found the courage to address the police to report him and reveal the torture he was experiencing.

The specific incident is specifically mentioned in her transfer THE GREEK POLICE:

“The above incident took place around 22:40 on 01/12/2023 in a house where she lived together with her 15-year-old son (from her previous husband) in the Kaki Vigla-Salamina area. After the perpetrator raped the 15-year-old and herself, he took the victim’s car and fled.”

Following this incident and the 43-year-old’s complaint, the police advised the unfortunate woman not to return home but to seek refuge with a relative while they installed the panic button however the woman never stepped on it and met a tragic death.

Although the perpetrator was searched by the police, he was never found and yesterday morning he put his criminal plan into action. He went to her father’s house and executed her through the glass of the outer door with two bullets.

Then he ran away and despite the manhunt set up by the police and the controls at the port of Salamina as there were suspicions that he would escape to Piraeus, he succeeded.

Late at night, the police tracked down his mobile phone, blocked it and arrested him in the Keratsini area in the victim’s car, which he had stolen since December 1st.

When they asked him where the 43-year-old’s mobile phone was, which he had also stolen, he replied that he had forgotten it in a cafe. The perpetrator was taken to Piraeus security where, under the persistent questions of experienced homicide officers, he “broke” and confessed to his act.

The torture experienced by the 43-year-old mother from Salamina is reflected in the statements collected by the police during yesterday’s day.

Neighbors of the victim reported characteristics:

“A few days ago there had been a big fight and P.X (partner’s name) had beaten her badly.
PG (victim’s name) was shouting for someone to help her and that PG had taken her mobile phone and car.”

Another report specifically states:
“G. (Victim’s name) must have been hit by her partner because 3-4 days ago we saw her limping and using a P.”

The murder of the 43-year-old woman is the 6th femicide that has occurred in 2023. when in 2022 there were a total of 13 femicides throughout the territory according to the official data of the Greek police headquarters.
