The Range Rover has been an icon for 50 years and the 5th generation of the luxury SUV promotes Land Rover’s innovative design philosophy. The new Range Rover is defined by three design lines, as established by previous generations: the roof, the midline and the sill line. The characteristically short front cantilever, the recognizable front part, the vertical windshield and the wedge-shaped “tail”, which refers to the stern of a boat, are key elements of its design identity. It is based on the MLA-Flex platform, which can accommodate both internal combustion engines and plug-in hybrid sets, as well as electric motors. Therefore, the people of Land Rover will integrate the luxury SUV in the new era with an electric version in 2024. The levels of comfort and premium feeling in the interior are beyond reason. Clearly the upgraded image and the all-in-one multimedia system (Pivi Pro with a diagonal of 13.1΄΄) impress, but – at the same time – the new Range Rover comes with new innovative technologies. The Cabin Air Purification Pro combines dual-nanoe X technology to reduce allergens and remove pathogens, and features the new third generation of Active Noise Cancellation technology, offering one of the quietest cabins on the go.
It is also worth noting the effort to reduce the environmental footprint, hence the fabric that also contains Kvadrat wool lining, to be offered as a non-leather choice for the interior. Additional design philosophies such as the SV Serenity and SV Intrepid packages introduce two colors throughout the interior, while the luxurious four-seater SV Signature Suite includes an electric folding Club Table and a refrigerator.
The new Range Rover has a wide range of 3-liter 6-cylinder in-line engine, petrol and diesel, new generation, with output from 250 to 400 hp and a 4.4 lt petrol V8 that delivers 530 hp and 76.4 kgm of torque. The thermal engine versions incorporate mild 48-volt hybrid systems, while there are also two plug-in versions, the P440e and P510e, with combined performance, as the latter have up to 100 “electric” kilometers with a full battery charge.
