The owners of dominant animals and the animal lovers of Volos are shocked from the crime that occurred on Tuesday night in Pefkakia, with the death of a stray dog from shrapnel. The vagrant met a tragic death a few days before her transfer to Athens to meet her new family.

At a time when all the spotlight is on Arachova and the abuse that led to the tragic death of “Oliver”, the husky that was found brutally abused and tortured, a similar crime comes to disturb the society of Volos, unfortunately not for the first time .

In particular, on Tuesday evening, an animal lover, who takes care of strays in Pefkakia, went to the scene in order to feed them. A breeder informed her that one of the dogs had drowned. Terror immediately overcame her. He ran into the field where the little strays roam and the sight he saw was horrifying. Little one-year-old Bella had been murdered and was lying in the field. The dog’s body was full of shrapnel and a rope was found next to her neck, with her believing that whoever carried out this criminal act he dragged the animal to the field, where he left it.

The animal lover immediately took her veterinarian, who informed the Veterinary Association who in turn made it known that since this is abuse the police should be informed. She notified the police authorities, who arrived at the scene and proceeded with an autopsy, while employees of the Municipality took the body of the animal and took it to the veterinarian. Little Bella’s body was full of shrapnel.

According to the collaborating veterinarian of the Municipality of Volos, the first image he had of the unfortunate animal is how it is shot with birdshot. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine the cause of death. The vet’s opinion, since the relevant complaint has been made to the police, will be forwarded to the police and depending on the findings, proceedings may be initiated with the Prosecutor’s Office.

Little Bella, just one year old, had other siblings. With the movements of animal lovers, everything found a family, including Bella. But, according to the animal lover who took care of her, she was a very phobic dog, who didn’t bark, didn’t chase cars, and after being separated from her siblings, she had fallen into depression. Despite this, a family had been found for her in Athens. But the people who cared for her thought to wait a few days so that they could more easily reach her and catch her and then transfer her to her new family. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it…

The animal lover who found Bella’s lifeless body, demands that the culprit who caused this be found and punished. But he also fears for the rest of the strays living in the area, lest they have the tragic fate of Bella.
