The amendment is included in the Land Registry bill and is expected to be voted on next Monday, December 11, 2023
The amendment of the Ministry of Development entitled “Observatory of prices of children’s toys: “Santa’s basket”” was submitted to the Parliament.
The aim of the amendment is to establish, for the year 2023, a price observatory with the name “Santa’s basket” for children’s toys, based on a list sent to the Ministry of Development by the obliged enterprises.
As noted in the Regulatory Impact Analysis of the amendment, the “Santa’s basket” is expected to achieve, also for the year 2023, an alleviation of the inflationary pressures experienced by consumers by increasing competition between commercial enterprises that have children’s toys in the consumers.
The amendment is part of the bill entitled “Acceleration of the procedures for the completion of the Hellenic Land Registry: Dealing with outstanding issues in real estate transfers and strengthening the operational functioning of the legal entity under public law with the name “Hellenic Land Registry” – Simplification and acceleration of the procedures for the transfer of real estate – Arrangements of Ministry competence of Digital Governance”.
The discussion and voting of this bill are scheduled for next Monday, December 11, 2023.
