Patrol car of A.T. Minoa became an ambulance for the necessary transport to the Health Center of an elderly man who suffered a stroke while sitting in a local cafe.

The president of the Arkalochori Trade Association, Mr. Giorgos Borbandonakis, who was present at the incident with the elderly man’s fainting episode, described to Cretalive that they tried to give him first aid, but very quickly realized that his condition was serious and he urgently needed to be transported at the Health Center.

Unfortunately, the ambulance had left for another serious incident and so there was no vehicle to transport the old man. Then, they thought of calling the local police department for help, which reportedly responded in a flash.

In time dt a patrol car rushed to the scene, picked up the elderly man and took him to the Arkalochori Health Center. Both he and all those who were there wanted to express their thanks to the Police Department and to the police officers themselves who acted with the aim of defending human life. The elderly man was immediately taken to the Health Center, without losing precious time.
