The Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. announces that Michalis Chamaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO, decided to leave the company in June 2024, upon the expiration of his contract. During today’s meeting, the Board of Directors of OTE decided unanimously, and in accordance with the relevant proposal of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee, to propose to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of OTE S.A. the election of Kostas Nebi, to take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors. and CEO from July 1, 2024, and approved the terms of his contract. The Board of Directors expressed its belief that Kostas Nebis will continue the development course of the OTE Group.

Michalis Chamaz is the longest-serving Chairman of the Board of Directors. and CEO in OTE’s history, having held the position since November 2010. Putting the customer experience first, he led the successful transformation of OTE into a modern, high-performance technology company with strong financial performance. During his tenure, OTE became the largest investor in next-generation networks and technological infrastructure in Greece, contributing decisively to the digital transformation of the country, society and businesses, while gaining leadership in all key telecommunications sectors: fixed, mobile, pay TV and ICT. In addition, he founded start-ups in new markets such as fintech, food ordering and insurance comparison & shopping. The vision he has set for the company for 2030 is to develop into a leading provider of digital services, with a focus on sustainable development, aiming to continuously improve shareholder value.

Kostas Nebi is CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. of Hrvatski Telekom, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom in Croatia, since April 2019. From this position he succeeded in the recovery of the company, focusing on customer and employee satisfaction. He achieved strong corporate results, accelerating the company’s growth while defending its market leadership position with the largest investments in Gigabit infrastructure and digital solutions. He has extensive experience of more than 20 years in the field of telecommunications. Before Hrvatski Telekom, he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer Consumer Segment at OTE Group and the position of Marketing Director at COSMOTE SA.
