Vehicles in Western Macedonia are moving with chains at specific points announced by the General Regional Police Directorate of Western Macedonia. In particular, in the regional unit of Grevena, vehicle traffic is carried out exclusively with the use of a special type of tires or anti-skid chains:

– on the Provincial road of Grevenon-Samarinas, from the 12th km to the 54th km.

– on the provincial road of Grevenon-X/K Vasilitsa, from the 12th km to the 50th km.

– on the provincial road Grevenon-Ziaka-Perivoliou, from the 12th km to the 45th km.

– on the Grevenon-Kranias provincial road, from the 10th km to the 35th km.

Vehicular traffic on Egnatia Road, as well as on the National and other Provincial road networks, is carried out normally.

In the regional section of Kastoria, vehicle traffic is carried out exclusively with the use of a special type of tires or anti-skid chains:

– on the Kastoria-Florina Provincial Road (via Vitsio), from the 18th km to the 28th km.

– on the Kastoria – Amyntaio Provincial Road (Kleisoura), from the 26th km to the 32.6th km.

– on the Kozani – Ioannina National Highway, from km 97 to km 113.5, as well as throughout the mountainous provincial and mountainous municipal network of the Municipality of Kastoria.

– on the Kastoria-Ioannina Provincial Road (via Kotyli), from the 38th km to the 48th km, as well as throughout the mountainous provincial road network of the Municipality of Nestorio.

– on the Provincial Road from Melanthio to Kastanofytos, from Ammoudara to Agios Ilias, from Laga to Vrachos, as well as throughout the mountainous road network of the Municipality of Argos Orestikos.

Vehicular traffic on the section of the vertical axis (A-29) of Egnatia Road, Siatistas – Krystallopigi, is proceeding normally.

In the regional section of Kozani, the traffic of vehicles on Egnatia Road, on the vertical axis of Egnatia Road Kozani – Ptolemaida, as well as on the entire National and Provincial road network, is carried out normally.

In the regional section of Florina, vehicle traffic is carried out exclusively with the use of a special type of tires or anti-skid chains:

– on the Florina-Kastoria Provincial Road (via Vitsi), from the 18th km to the 30th km.

– on the National Highway of Florina – Krystallopigi Border Station (via Vigla), from the 15th km to the 28th km.

– on the Florina-Ano Kleinos-Akrita Provincial Road (intersection with the Florina-Krystallopigi Border Station National Road), from the 16th km to the 22nd km.

– on the Old Florina-Edessa National Road (via Kelli), from the 25th km to the 35th km.

– on the Aetou-Nymphaeu district road, from the 4th to the 9th km.

– throughout the provincial road network under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Florina.

Vehicular traffic on the vertical axis of the Egnatia Road (A-27) Niki-Florina, as well as on the rest of the National and Provincial road network, is proceeding normally.

In the meantime, following a decision by the Directors of the Police Departments of Grevena, Kastoria, Kozani and Florina, due to the occurrence of adverse weather conditions, it is announced that cars of all categories must be equipped with anti-skid chains or other similar anti-skid means, as long as these vehicles do not have special tires (snow tires), for the entire road network of the P.E. Grevena, Kastoria, Kozani and Florina.
