Today at 12:29, the Attica Immediate Action Center was informed by telephone by the Editors’ Newspaper that they received a recorded message which reported the activation of a bomb in a camp near the headquarters of the MAT, which was going to explode in 45 minutes.
Strong police forces immediately rushed to the scene, where an explosive device was found in a place with trees and the area was cordoned off in time, as in the event of an explosion, the physical integrity of students from the adjacent university facilities, police officers and passing citizens would be threatened.
Police officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department carried out the process of neutralizing the explosive device, which has been sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for further investigation.
A preliminary investigation is carried out by the Anti-Terrorist Service (D.A.E.B.).
