On the occasion of recent declarations regarding the intention of the Greek Government to legislate the marriage of “same-sex couples”, as well as the adoption of children by them, our Holy Community expresses intense reflection and worry of all the Holy Fathers” is noted in the announcement and emphasized:

“The Holy Mountain, as a place of prayer and practice, humbly wishes for all people, as an image of God. Despite this, we express reflection and deep sorrow us for the planned legislations.

We must, through this announcement, clearly state that any form of marriage or childbearing, which is contrary to the evangelical teaching, but also to the centuries-old tradition of our pious nation and kind, regarding the sacred institution of the family, we absolutely find opposites”.
