The prices of high-end offices increased by 2.8% in the first half of 2023, while the prices of shops increased by 4.2% and their rents by 3.9%.

According to the data of the Bank of Greece. nominal prices of high-end office space increased by 2.8% for the country as a whole compared to the second half of 2022. During the same period, nominal prices of high-end office space increased by 1.8% in the wider region of Athens, fell by 0.4% in Thessaloniki and increased by 4.9% in the rest of Greece.

Based on the revised data, in 2022 the average annual growth rate of nominal high-end office prices for the country as a whole stood at 3.5%. The corresponding annual rate of change for Athens was 5.9%, for Thessaloniki 5.7%, while in the rest of Greece prices remained unchanged.

In the first half of 2023, office rents for the whole country increased by 3.8% compared to the second half of 2022 (provisional data). Based on the revised data, office rents increased by 1.7% in the first half of 2022 and 1.8% in the second half of 2022, compared to the previous half. For the whole of 2022, office rents increased at an average annual rate of 2.9%.

The nominal prices of high-end stores for the whole country increased by 4.2% compared to the second half of 2022. During the same period, the nominal prices of high-end stores increased by 4.9% in the greater Athens area, 4.2% in Thessaloniki and 2.9% in the rest of Greece, compared to the previous semester.

Based on the revised data, in 2022 the average annual growth rate of the nominal prices of high-end stores was 6.1% for the country as a whole, while the corresponding price growth rates were 8.5% for Athens, 6.3 % for Thessaloniki and 2.1% for the rest of Greece.

During the first half of 2023, the rents of shops for the whole country increased by 3.9% compared to the second half of 2022 (provisional data). Based on the revised data, store rents increased by 2.8% in the first half of 2022 and by 1.7% in the second half of 2022, compared to the previous half. For the whole of 2022, store rents increased with an average annual rate of change of 4.4%.
