At one of the best universities in America, which is ranked as the 5th best passed with a full scholarship during the young student’s studies, after the examination in the American System of Admission to Higher Education, with his choice in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Sciences of UPENN University
The student of the 3rd grade of the 4th GEL of Alexandroupoli, Dimitris Deliakidis, after a series of successes in competitions, participation in the National Team of Scientists and obtaining a Patent Diploma at the age of sixteen, won a full scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) in the United States of America.
It is one of the most selective institutions of higher learning in the US and worldwide. It is indicated that at the undergraduate level only 9% of applicants were accepted in 2016.
As the student himself explained while speaking on the “Today” show on SKAI, his scholarship provides full tuition, housing, food and health insurance coverage, which amounts to 89,000 euros per year.
However, he himself, who wants to study electrical engineering and engage in research, said that he will continue to read about the nationwide competitions in which he will participate.
