The cause of death of the 32-year-old policeman who, in the early hours, was attacked with a palm knife by a 44-year-old Norwegian national in a beer bar, where they were having fun, in Thessaloniki
“Extensive bleeding from eating a vessel” is said to have been “shown” by the forensic examination as cause of death of the 32-year-old police officer who, in the early hours, was attacked with a palm knife by a 44-year-old Norwegian national in a bar (beerroom), where they were having fun, in Thessaloniki.
The eating of a vessel, according to the findings of the medical examiner, is connected with the blow to the left cervical area of the victim, while his death was instantaneous.
According to the case file filed against the Norwegian perpetrator by the Life Crimes Department of Thessaloniki, the murderous knife has been seized and is of the “push dagger” type. Police sources said the particular knife qualifies as a “concealed weapon” as it is designed to be held in the hand with a closed palm.
With the same knife, the assailant wounded the policeman’s best man in the lower limbs, with whom he had an argument over a trivial matter, before attacking the 32-year-old who rushed to mediate and separate the two men.
The 44-year-old, who has been living in Greece for the last 9 years living on an allowance he receives from the Norwegian state, is detained and will be brought to the criminal prosecution office of Thessaloniki tomorrow.
According to information, during the execution of the murder he was under the influence of intoxication and for this reason he underwent the relevant blood and toxicological tests to determine the amount of alcohol he had consumed.
At the same time, the policeman’s best man (also 32 years old) is hospitalized out of danger at Hippocrates Hospital.
