A new memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Maria-Alexandra Kefala, with the president of EKAB, Nikolaos Papaevstathiou, for free first aid seminars for infants and children, for the caretakers of the “Neighborhood Babysitters” program. With the memorandum, the time for the implementation of the seminars is extended until September 2024, and those who want to obtain a first aid certificate in order to be registered in the “Register of Caregivers”, can be trained for free by EKAB.
The infant and child first aid certificate is required for caregivers to participate in the program and is awarded when applicants successfully complete the online monitoring, practical training and assessment.
After the signing of the memorandum, Ms. Kefala stated that the seminars are particularly important for the safety of infants and toddlers, who will be cared for by the supervisors of the “Neighborhood Babysitters” program, she thanked the president and the staff of EKAB.
