Autopsy on the damaged provincial road network of Epidaurus – Kalloni which was affected by the severe storm Daniel last September, the regional governor of Attica Nikos Hardalias, accompanied by the deputy governor of the Islands, Yiannis Voutsinas, and the mayor of Troizinia-Methanon, Tassos Mougios.
The governor of Attica was informed about the parts of the road axis that have suffered damage – after the landslides and the cracks in the road surface left behind by the bad weather – and set the final resolution of the problem as a key priority. On the order of Nikos Hardalia, a technical meeting of the services of the Attica Region was set, within the next week, to speed up the immediate damage restoration projects and to quickly restore traffic to all sections of the road network that have been affected.
As noted by the regional governor of Attica: “The need to repair the damage is immediate. Four whole months were lost, for no reason, which was unacceptable. Everything that is technically possible will proceed without further delay, in order for the road to be opened to traffic immediately, with absolute safety for the residents and visitors of the area».
