A case of microbial meningitis we had yesterday Tuesday a student of the primary school of Nea Figaleia, as a result of which the municipality of Zacharos decided that today, Wednesday, January 10 the kindergarten and primary school of Nea Figalia will remain closedpreventively, for disinfection.
The child, who is 9 years old, developed a high fever yesterday as a result of which his parents took him to the Kyparissia Hospital and from there he was transferred to the Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital in Athens, for further tests, treatment and hospitalization.
The health status of the child who presented with the case of microbial meningitis, according to patrisnews.gr, there are not cause much concern, nevertheless, the municipality of Zaharos immediately proceeded to take the necessary measures, so that we do not have bigger problems in the community.
To take the necessary measures yesterday there was a meeting of the mayor Zaharos Konstantinos Mitropoulos with the director of the Health Center Zaharos Prokopis Papazafeiris, where it was decided to close the two schools as a precaution and to carry out the necessary disinfection.
