The Agricultural Association of Rizomylos, after a meeting of the Board of Directors as part of the actions of the Federation of Agricultural Associations of Magnesia, invites all colleagues in the region to take out their agricultural machinery today, Monday, January 15, on the Old National Road of Volos, Larissa, at the height of Rizomylos, and to participate in the motorized march in city ​​of Volos tomorrow Tuesday 16/1.

As emphasized in the relevant announcement, “All colleagues should participate en masse in the organized actions that will follow because you consider it a matter of survival.” May the indignation that boils within us become strength and an organized struggle!

We claim:

  • Timeline and projects for damage restoration and drainage of flooded fields in the former Carla Lake.
  • Full compensation and income replacement for as long as it takes for the fields to become productive again.
  • Minimum amount to be paid to farmers for cotton or corn to be 300 euros/str.
  • Alfalfa 200 euros/hectare. Vines 600 euros/hectare. Almonds 800 euros/hectare. Peanuts 2,000 euros/hectare. Walnuts – pomegranates 1,000 euros/hectare. Sheep and goats 300 euros for replacing livestock with productive animals and 500 euros for the loss of this year’s production in the drowned herds.
  • Also, the restrictions on crops from the new CAP and income replenishment for farmers, until the income from production and animals are restored.
  • Reduction of production costs. Tax-free oil, ceiling on the price of rural electricity at 7 cents/Kwh and abolition of the Energy Exchange, subsidy and abolition of VAT on means and supplies.
  • Lower guaranteed prices that cover production costs and leave sustainable income to cover subsistence needs and farming expenses.
  • No land use change and not allowing the fields to fill up with PV. To compensate 100%, without terms and conditions, for the damages to plant production, to agricultural capital (plant, animal, fixed), shops, machinery, warehouses and stored production to all the affected farmers (by main occupation and not).
  • To take all the necessary measures to provide 100% financial relief to those affected by the immediate granting of emergency aid to every family and agricultural enterprise. To give a monthly allowance of at least 1,500 euros with an increase of 300 euros for each child, until the damages are restored to all those affected.
  • To give the linked aids without any condition, limit or ceiling in the delivery of the production, respectively to the livestock farmers, with the only criterion being the IACS declaration.
  • Especially for breeders and beekeepers, all the statements of those affected about the losses in animals and bee colonies should be accepted. To ensure, under the responsibility of the state, the supply of the affected livestock farmers with fodder and other necessary means for the herds to survive. Permit permanent milking parlor in makeshift cement shelters and permit them.
  • To exempt those affected from municipal fees, rents, ENFIA, VAT, OAEE – OGA, TOEB, GOEB, to freeze debts to the state – banks – liquidators without surcharges. Suspension of bills for household and business use in energy, water, telecommunications for six months. To subsidize heating coverage for all those affected.
  • Immediately stop any seizure and auction procedures. To freeze all debts without surcharges for as long as those affected are unable to pay them.
  • Write off interest and bold capital cuts in bank loans.
  • The irrigation network should be repaired immediately.
  • To be done with state responsibility (without PPP), study and implementation of an integrated plan of infrastructure projects that will definitively solve the problem in all the disputed areas where floods occur and the necessary anti-flood protection and shielding projects”.
