It may be a matter of hours before the Messolonghi Prosecutor’s Office issues an arrest warrant for the disappearance of 31-year-old Babis.
Investigations continue into the case of the 31-year-old’s disappearance in Messolonghi.
The 50-year-old butcher, who remains the main suspect in the investigations of the Greek Police, yesterday late afternoon it was deemed necessary to be summoned again to the General Police Directorate of Etoloakarnania, in order to undergo an examination, as it has been established several mismatches in what he has supported and in what the police have been able to collect, either by using witness statements, or with video, visual material, but also from the analysis of mobile phones.
Information indicates that he would stay during the night, in order to give explanations for what a fellow inmate has attributed to him in a detention cell at the Police Department.
He allegedly claimed that this person asked him about the situation in Korydallos prisons and told him that he had gotten into trouble by accepting, as he claims, a homicide. Nothing has been proven so far.
Interest also arises from the involvement of a 36-year-old person, who was also allegedly in the area of the disappearance. There is a trace from his mobile phone, while it seems that he has also exchanged some messages with the 50-year-old, which have been deleted.
The authorities believe that we are very close to solving this particular mystery.
Of course, so far there is no trace of the 31-year-old, who has been wanted since January 4.
