To upgrade the indictment for the 44-year-old singer who was arrested in the previous 24 hourswhen he refused to be subjected to a police check, threatening and insulting the men of the Hellenic Army, he requested the Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki, where the accused was referred to be tried by the automatic procedure.

Among the acts attributed to him was that of “of imprinting on a material body a non-public act of another”, because during his stay at the police station he filmed a police officer with his mobile phone. The judges of the Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki ruled that the act connected to the video recording was committed in its criminal form and, by extension, their Court is incompetent.

Under these circumstances the case file is forwarded to the competent prosecutor to order criminal prosecution and be asked to apologize to an investigator.

The remaining acts for which he is prosecuted are those of disobedience, violence against employees (resistance), threats and insults (all misdemeanors).

The incident happened in the early hours of last Wednesday in the area of ​​Dendropotamos, in Menemeni, Thessaloniki. The 44-year-old, who declared before the judges a singer and radio producer, was inside his parked car when policemen who noticed him asked to check him.

According to the indictment, he resisted, threatened and cursed them, as a result of which he was taken to the Ampelokipi – Menemeni Police Station. While there, he was given his cell phone to make a call, which he did, but it was later discovered that he had taken a video and the face of a police officer was visible.

He was released when on the same day he was referred to Autoforos and asked for the case to be adjourned. He denied his actions, claiming that his vehicle had stalled.
