250: The Roman emperor Decius unleashes a fierce persecution against Christians in Rome.

1833: King Otho and the members of the Regency arrive in Nafplion on the English frigate “Madagascar”. They are accompanied by 4,000 Bavarian soldiers.

1937: With the Compulsory Law 447 of the dictatorial Metaxas government, the mandatory flag decoration of public services, shops and houses during national holidays is imposed.

1942:At a Nazi conference in the Wannsee suburb of Berlin, the so-called “Final Solution” is decided, i.e. the extermination of all the Jews of Europe.

2005: The bill on the “major shareholder” is voted on articles in the Parliament. PASOK votes against, while KKE and SYN, vote in favor of 8 of the 15 articles of the bill. The Minister of the Interior, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, includes amendments to the bill, among which the inclusion of press institutions in the incompatible between a media owner and a public supplier and the 10% limitation on the participation of mutual funds in SMEs and in companies that conclude public contracts.

2010: The trial of the special guards Epaminondas Korkoneas and Vassilis Saraliotis, who are accused of the murder of the 15-year-old student Alexandros Grigoropoulos, on December 6, 2008, in the center of Athens, begins before the Amfissa Joint Jury Court.
