The arrest of two people and the identification of two more of their accomplices, for cases of theft from parked vehicles, which took place in the area of ​​the airport and Thermi, were managed by police officers of the Services of the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki.
These are people aged 43, 19, 27 and 28 years old, against whom a case file was filed by the Thermi Security Department for distinguished cases of theft.
Specifically, the 19-year-old, the 27-year-old and the 28-year-old, in a vehicle that the 43-year-old had rented, approached a parked vehicle on the Thessaloniki – Perias road on Friday night and after breaking the rear door glass of the vehicle, removed a computer, two mobile phones telephones, bank cards, as well as a bag containing the sum of 26,450 euros. The driver of the parked vehicle noticed the incident and immediately notified the Immediate Action Center.
After investigations by police officers of the Police Department of Pylaia, all the stolen items were found, except for the amount of money, which was attributed to their owner, and then from the searches carried out by police officers of the Direct Action Division, they identified and arrested the 43-year-old.
Yesterday morning, in the pedestrian area, after a police operation by the Property Crimes Department with the assistance of police officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department and the Security Departments of Oreokastro and Thermi, the 19-year-old was located and arrested.
In the legal searches that followed in the homes of the above, in the presence of a judicial officer, the sum of 160 euros and electric hand tools were found and confiscated.
From the further investigation by the police officers of the Thermi Security Department, it emerged that the three persons aged 19, 27 and 28, respectively, on 19-01-2024, broke into two more vehicles, which were parked in the area of ​​Thermi and the airport and from who removed a total of two bags, the sum of 200 euros, a gold neck chain and various personal documents.
Those arrested will be taken to the competent Prosecutor, while investigations continue to identify and arrest the rest of the perpetrators.
