The two Joint Ministerial Decisions amending the payment procedure for accommodation providers and tourist offices of the “Tourism for All” program for the years 2020 and 2021 were signed
They were signed by the competent Deputy Minister of Tourism Elena Rapti, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikolaos Papathanasis, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Athanasios Petralia and the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiouthe two Joint Ministerial Decisions (Government Gazette B 358/2024 and GOVERNMENT B 201/2024) amending the payment procedure for accommodation providers and tourist offices of the “Tourism for All” program for the years 2020 and 2021.
From 1-19-2024, providers, accommodation owners and tourist agencies who have not yet submitted a finalized payment request (initial or amendment due to rejection), will submit the requests via e-mail to [email protected] accompanied by the necessary for their payment documents.
Supporting documents are accepted in sharp scanned files (in PDF or image format) of the original documents or their exact copies. For the electronic submission of the application, either the digital signature of the beneficiary or the certification of the original signature by a Public Authority is required.
A model of the payment request is posted on the website of the Ministry of Tourism.
The services of the Ministry of Tourism will follow the processing and cross-checking of the data and then the corresponding payments will be made to the declared bank accounts.
It is noted that with this year’s new design of the program for 2024, payment and settlement requests are not required, but the immaterial debit card is applied, which is sponsored by the program and facilitates both the beneficiaries who can redeem it inside or outside the platform, as well as the Greeks hoteliers, who are paid immediately upon redemption.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Elena Rapti responsible for the “Tourism for All” program said: “At the Ministry of Tourism, this year we are continuing the government’s effort for practical and targeted support of Greek citizens by proceeding with the redesign of the tourism for all program, with social features, improving it for the benefit of its beneficiaries, and of Greek tourism as a whole. We are proceeding to settle the outstanding payment issues of the program for the years 2020-2021 in order to quickly clear and pay the accommodation providers who participated in it in previous years.
It is noted that with the current design of the program for 2024, the immaterial debit card granted by the program is applied and we facilitate both the beneficiaries who can redeem it on or off the platform, as well as the Greek hoteliers, who are paid immediately and without payment requests and liquidation”.
The Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou pointed out: “As the Ministry of Digital Governance, we are always in good cooperation with all ministries, so that we can help in every project that requires our digital contribution. In this direction and with the Ministry of Tourism, we are making sure at this stage of the “Tourism for All” program that all procedures are provided transparently and without unnecessary bureaucracy.”
The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis stated: “The drafting of policies with a social sign and the support of tourism and the Small and Medium Enterprises that operate around it, is a practical proof of the strategic choice of the government to combine economic consistency, the facilitation of bureaucratic procedures with social cohesion.”
