The 29-year-old mother was taken to the prosecutor on Sunday morning, while her 33-year-old partner will follow, who confessed the murder of her 7-year-old child, in 2017 at their home, at 5 Skiathou Street in Kypseli, with the details of the case having shocked the public opinion.
According to what has become known, the mother’s partner systematically abused the child as well as her sister which was given to a foster family.
The chronicle of the case
It all started on Skiathos Street in Kypseli in 2017, where the couple and their two children lived at the time.
One afternoon the unfortunate Andreas seems to have been punished by his mother and her partner. According to the officers of the homicide department, it is that the child started to protest and then the mother’s partner silenced him.
So the child lost his life by suffocation. The mother according to what has become known was in front of the tragic event while his sister was in the comment. The perpetrator allegedly told the mother “do not worry, I will solve it” and fixed it an improvised tomb on the roof which they had in the apartment. The years passed and the owner evicted them.
The scary thing is that the couple stayed on the streets of Athens for six months and transported their child to a toolbox.
After some time, the perpetrator managed to find money and rent the apartment on Astypaleas Street in Kypseli and put the toolbox on the veranda.
How the authorities came to investigate the cases
Authorities were investigating drug and theft cases in downtown Athens and came across a man who was allegedly related to the perpetrator of the case. During the investigation, the specific man was asked about his possible accomplice. The man then revealed to them that the Pole had allegedly killed a person close to him.
The police started looking for old cases but did not find anything. Then they came to the neighborhood where the couple lived and asked the locals for information.
They revealed to them that the couple had two children, however their little boy had left for Poland with their father. The police asked the Polish authorities about the specific man, but they replied that they did not know where he was.
They started looking at the entrance and exit gates of the country to see if he had left Greece. Then they came to the apartment and brought the two people to the Attica General Police Directorate. There the Pole confessed everything with characteristic calm.
