Its context state aid activated immediately in the areas affected by the summer fires of 2023both through the activation of the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, for the provision of first aid against the housing assistance and against the grant to affected businesses and livestock units, as well as through the activation of the 50% advance payment of the intended subsidy to the affected businesses and livestock units.

In total, after and from the relevant intersections, until the end of 2023, first aid of 2,629,454 euros has been paid to 546 beneficiaries, of which the first aid against housing assistance to 398 beneficiaries amounts to 2,095,454 euros and the first aid against the subsidy to businesses and livestock units to 148 beneficiaries amounts to 534,000 euros.

Regarding the distribution of first aid per Region, among sixteen (16) payments, it is:

  • 730,633 euros to 153 beneficiaries in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace
  • 720,650 euros to 147 beneficiaries in the Region of Attica
  • 633,506 euros to 147 beneficiaries in the Region of Thessaly
  • 48,615 euros to 10 beneficiaries in the Region of the Ionian Islands
  • 110,500 euros to 24 beneficiaries in the South Aegean Region
  • 356,550 euros to 60 beneficiaries in the Peloponnese Region
  • 29,000 euros to 5 beneficiaries in the Region of Central Greece

Beneficiaries who received the first aid should follow the prescribed procedure and submit a relevant file to the Region in cooperation with the Directorate of State Aid for the cases of the state aid, and to the General Directorate for Rehabilitation of the Effects of Natural Disasters for the cases of housing assistance.

At the same time, until the end of 2023, for the cases for which the recording and assessment of damages by the state aid committees has been completed, an advance payment of a total amount of 1,994,500 euros has been granted to 207 beneficiaries, of which 647,746 euros have been granted to 47 beneficiaries in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and 1,338,436 euros have been granted to 160 beneficiaries in the Region of Thessaly.

It is pointed out that the advance payment corresponds to 50% of the entitled grant, while the payments of the advances will continue depending on the completion of the work of the state aid committees.
