Convinced that “the circular of the Minister of Education on the digital conduct of exams in the schools that are under occupation can significantly help to complete the process and not lose the semester”, is what the rector of the university said to APE-MPE Peloponnese, Thanasis Katsis.

With the occupations in various schools causing enormous problems in the daily life of the start and completion of the exams and with the semester appearing in some of them the urgent Pierrakaki circular for the use of digital technology in the exams has been lost, as Mr. Katsis offers he admits, “a convenient alternative to deal with the problem.”

“The circular significantly helps in the direction of conducting the exams. Of course, the problem of faculty occupations only occurs in a few universities, but there is no guarantee that it will not spread. In this logic, every alternative form of examination needs to be used, and the digital examination is one of them. After all, we used it with great success during the pandemic, where there was universal abstinence from examinations. Classes in all schools are almost completed, we are in end of January and for this reason we cannot afford to deny even the slightest possibility for the exams to be completed normally and we will do whatever it takes to make this exam work efficiently. I am optimistic that we will eventually be able to complete the process even in its digital form, so that the semester is not lost and the program proceeds normally”, emphasized the rector of the University of Peloponnese.
