In their prior state, the one that existed before they started the construction works of the Thessaloniki metro, the parts of the road surface on Egnatia and Venizelou streets will be restored from the afternoon of next Monday (29/1).

Egnatia and Venizelou Streets will return to the form they had before the work of the Thessaloniki Metro began and from the afternoon of next Monday, traffic on Egnatia Street will be conducted in three lanes in each direction and in three lanes along the entire length of the street Venizelou.

According to relevant information, on 29/1 the space occupied by the construction site of the Thessaloniki Metro for the construction of the “Venizelos” station is vacated and the sections of the roadway, on Egnatia and Venizelos streets, will be opened to traffic by the afternoon of the same day.

The road surface, in the sections occupied by the construction site, is being restored, the required signage was installed, while the sidewalks were remodeled for the smooth flow of pedestrian traffic.

On 29/1, at 2:30 p.m., the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, with responsibility for Infrastructure, Nikos Tachiaos, will inspect the works of the final restoration of the premises and their return to the city.
