An 18-year-old man died tragically in the early hours of yesterday in a Piraeus nightclub.

The causes of his death are being investigated, however according to the report, the unfortunate young man seems to have consumed a large amount of alcohol.

He was transported in a semi-conscious state by EKAV ambulance from the night club to the Tzanio hospital.

The doctors made a superhuman effort to save his life, unfortunately to no avail.

In any case, the autopsy of the body is expected, as well as the toxicological tests.

It is noted that during the investigation that took place after the incident at the entertainment center, two people were arrested for the Weapons Act.

They are two men, one born in 1987 and the other in 1982.

The announcement of the Hellenic Police:

Policemen of the Extortion Prosecution Department of the Attica Security Directorate in Piraeus proceeded this morning with the spontaneous arrest of two citizens aged 37 and 42, as they were in possession of weapons and also put up strong resistance.

In particular, the above were located, as part of preventive checks by the above Service, outside a store of health interest, however, at the sight of the police, they tried to escape by running, each taking out a pistol.

The police reacted immediately and managed to immobilize them, despite the strong resistance they put up, while the two pistols were found and confiscated in their possession, one of which was found to have been stolen on 12-06-2020 by a police officer, as well as 20 cartridges that were contained in their magazines.

It is noted that one of the arrested is included in a case file for extortion against shopkeepers, while both have been accused in the past of – as the case may be – dangerous bodily harm, extortion, threats, insults and violation of the legislation on racist violence. Those arrested will be taken to the competent Prosecutor”.
