The student Eleni Topaloudi, was martyred in November 2018 by two of her almost peers who raped her and threw her after being severely beaten but alive on a rocky beach in the area of ​​Lindos in Rhodes.
At the side of her mother, Koula, were Anna Psarakou, mother of Garyfallia and Eleni Kremastioti, mother of Eratos.

Today the case started to be tried in the second instance. The two perpetrators have been sentenced at first instance to life imprisonment and an additional 15 years in prison. The court ruled that the two convicts were not entitled to any mitigation.
The trial was adjourned at the request of the defense.
The case was heard and the court proceeded to draw the jury with only one present, of Greek origin, accused and absent of co-accused of Albanian origin.
The defense of the accused of Albanian origin, requested an adjournment of the trial as one of his lawyers was recently appointed by the 22-year-old and said that he wants time to study the case.

Accused of brutal abuse and subsequent murder of Eleni Topaloudi are two young people aged 24 and 22 today, who were permanent residents of Rhodes. The eldest, a member of a wealthy family on the island and the youngest, the son of a craftsman from Albania. The two friends had a common interest in martial arts. The youngest has been involved in another case of rape of a young girl with special needs, which was allegedly committed a few days after Topaloudi’s murder.
