On Sunday afternoon, the police handcuffed a rapper at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport, who tried to steal two suitcases.

As the President of the Police Officers of Southeast Attica George Kalliakmanis described to ANT1, “a woman left her bags and went to get a sandwich. He left them in an area inside the airport where there are cameras. This gentleman seems to be looking left and right and goes and gets the bags. These cleaning company employees are often dragging something like trash cans. He goes and puts the suitcases in the bin and leaves them there.”
When questioned, he said he did not steal the bags but wanted, as soon as he was done, to report them to the lost. However, according to the regulation, when there is an abandoned device the police must be notified.
The rapper was arrested, a case file was filed and today he is expected to be taken to the prosecutor with the self-incrimination procedure.
