According to the police, an employee of a blocking company, during work on the drainage system of a building on Solonos Street, where the offices of the NGO “Doctors Without Borders” are located, found a dead fetus. The employee, he claimed, informed the NGO officials about it, who told him that they would take care of it and place the body in a box.
The fetus was about five months old and was discovered on Monday by a plumber, an employee of a blocking company, while he was working on a building at 140 Solonos Street in Exarchia.
Police collected the fetus late at night and an autopsy is expected to take place on Tuesday, while police investigations are ongoing.
It is being considered that a woman who had moved into the building miscarried and flushed the fetus down the toilet.
