Until Monday, the applications for the new Experimental Schools of OAED in tourism – What do you know |

Until Monday, November 15, 2021, at 23:59, the interested students will be able to submit an electronic application for their admission to the seven new Experimental Vocational Schools (PEPAS) Apprenticeship of OAED for the school year 2021-2022.

PEPAS will operate in seven cities (Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, Crete, Mytilene, Patras and Rhodes) with three specialties in the field of tourism and hospitality, in collaboration with the Hellenic-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Institute of Hellenic Tourism Association Business (INSETE).

The schools will apply the dual education system that combines theoretical and laboratory education with apprenticeship (learning in the workplace with pay and insurance) in companies. The theoretical part will be implemented in the schools from November to April, while the apprenticeship in companies will take place from May to October. The students’ fee corresponds to at least 21.78 euros for each day of apprenticeship in the workplace for two years.

According to an announcement by OAED, those who are 18 years old or older, have at least a high school diploma and have a good knowledge of a foreign language (English or French or German) have the right to apply.

Specifically, the route is: gov.gr → Education → Enrollment in school → Enrollment in an experimental vocational school of OAED.

According to the announcement, the cooperation of OAED with the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and INSETE, which have extensive experience in the field of vocational education and tourism, guarantees the placement of all apprentices in apprenticeships in distinguished companies in the tourism industry (hotels 4 and 5 stars), but also strengthens the perspective of their professional rehabilitation, after the completion of their studies.

As it is pointed out in the announcement, the students of EPA.S. Apprenticeship of OAED:

– Apprentice to companies with pay and insurance.

– They study in modern and fully equipped laboratories.

– They are provided with the necessary books and aids.

– They are trained by experienced and well-trained teaching staff.

– They are entitled to deferment of enlistment.

Those who meet the conditions receive housing and food allowance.
