Return to normalcy from Saturday – What changes in entertainment, stadiums and excursions

by

Starting point for return in regularity is the next Saturdaya milestone day, after the “green light” given by the Committee of Experts on Wednesday, for the lifting of restrictive measures against coronavirus.

In this light, from that day the upright return to the entertainment, while the entrance to restaurants and entertainment venues will be done exclusively and only to those vaccinated with the obligatory demonstration vaccination certificate or disease certificate.

As far as the stadiums are concerned, the occupancy rate increases to 50%, while the teleworking rate decreases. In any case, the suggestion of the committee of experts was accepted by the government, while the details will be clarified in the forthcoming JMC.

At the meeting of the committee of scientists, which was also attended by the Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos, it was also decided that from next week the restrictions on one-day school trips and from March 1 on multi-day trips will be lifted, provided, however, that it has preceded conducting a rapid test on participants within 48 hours before departure.
In addition, the multi-day excursions will include the tests provided during the week under the supervision of school representatives.

Consequently, from next Monday, when the new measures will be in force, educational excursions, study visits, study visits and so on can take place normally. in compliance with all the measures provided in terms of hygiene.

What will happen with Halloween

At the same time, it remains questionable whether and how the events will take place at Halloween. Today, the committee will meet again and we may have an answer, however, the information so far, speaks of not holding the big carnival events.

At the moment, however, the country is on a de-escalation trajectory, and despite the fact that the majority of scientists are positive about the gradual easing of restrictions, they express the belief that the time has not yet come to lift them as a whole. their prohibitions.
In this context, the professor of Pulmonology Theodoros Vasilakopoulos expressed his opposition to the scenario of immediate and absolute relaxation of the measures through SKAI.
“If we say ‘free on the pitch’, in 3-4 matches there will be more people because the average number of tickets in the Super League is below 1000. There will be overcrowding in the derby. “To make the carnivals ‘free’ and standing in the centers (which exist) to take off the masks, the epidemic will be reduced faster, but at a much higher cost”, pointed out Mr. Vasilakopoulos.

Regarding when we will get rid of the mask, Mr. Vasilakopoulos, explained that it depends on the epidemiological data of each society and the rate of vaccination. “In countries where most measures are lifted, those over 60 are all vaccinated, and they are the ones causing the problem. “Even if a young person who has been vaccinated twice gets stuck, the chance of being at risk is very small.”
“Every day 70-80 people die, unvaccinated, most of them die completely unjustly, if they were 90% vaccinated they would not die,” the professor noted.

He stressed that we are in a phase of de-escalation. “It is a fact that it is slower than we expected but now it is completely clear, we have 350 imports on average from 550, two weeks ago.” At the end of February, Theodoros Vasilakopoulos estimated, the picture will be better and March will be even better.

On Wednesday, however, EODY announced 19,509 new ones infections, 82 dead and 485 intubated. Attica remains in the “red” with 5,918 cases, Thessaloniki recorded 2,140 new infections, while in Achaia 872 cases.

At the same time, high rates of positivity were recorded in Mykonos, exceeding 9%, as the viral load on the island reached 9.17%. High rates of coronavirus positivity were also recorded in Rodopi (6.33%), Samos (6.46%) and Lemnos (6.29).
