The first tourists of this season arrived today, March 1, 2024, in Rhodes, on Ryanair charter flight 351 from Berlin, effectively marking the start of the tourist season on the island, while the official start of the season is set for March 28.
The plane arrived at the “Diagoras” airport of Rhodes at 10:15 in the morning, carrying 139 passengers, most of them Germans.

The first tourists were warmly welcomed by the Municipality of Rhodes, led by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Culture Georgios Toppos, in the presence of representatives of other local authorities and tourism agencies.
Officials of the Tourism Directorate of the Municipality of Rhodes, left the tourists informative material, printed and digital, small Greek flags and gifts with local products.
Guests thanked the organizers for the warm welcome they received at the start of their holiday and said they were looking forward to enjoying a place they love.
“The season starts with good omens this year and the messages are optimistic. Rhodes is one of the leading and safe destinations around the world and we hope that 2024 will be a better year for tourism than 2023. The targeted efforts of the Municipality of Rhodes for the promotion of the island and the further promotion of the tourist product of the island in new markets, such as our participation in the major international tourism exhibition of Berlin – ITB Berlin 2024, from March 5-7, 2024, we expect that they will also bear fruit in this year’s tourist season. I estimate that this year’s tourist season in Rhodes will be very good, with arrivals that will exceed last year’s. I wish you a good start and an even better continuation” underlined the deputy mayor Mr. Toppos.
