All six arrested who are allegedly involved in at least five cases of bomb attacks, among them the placement of a bomb in a bank in Petraloni and the sending of a file containing an explosive device to the Thessaloniki courts, were deemed pretrial detainees.

Earlier, the six involved had crossed the threshold of the investigator, who, with the agreement of the prosecutor, ordered their temporary detention.

Another four people are involved in the case of the newly emerged terrorist group “Vengeance Conspiracy”, but they are already incarcerated in prisons for various criminal offences.

According to the prosecution brought against the six arrested, they are accused of the crimes on a case-by-case basis:

– the management, integration and formation of a criminal organization,
-terrorist act of attempted murder,
– of a terrorist act of explosion in succession committed and attempted,
-terrorist act of manufacturing, possessing and supplying explosives,
-terrorist act of distinguished weapon possession and
-terrorist act of distinguished depravity.

They are also prosecuted on a case-by-case basis for the misdemeanors of supporting a terrorist organization, inciting a terrorist act, unlawful violence against judicial officials, illegal firearms possession and illegal shotgun firearm possession, and illegal possession of narcotics for personal use.

The involvement of those arrested concerns the following five cases:

1) dispatch of a folder laced with explosive material to the Thessaloniki Courthouse, which was found on 02-12-2024,

2) explosion of an improvised explosive device in a bank branch in Petralona on 25-01-2024,

3) explosion of an improvised explosive device on 11-13-2023 in a building complex in Kifissia, where a company is housed,

4) throwing a grenade on 07-08-2023 at a car owned by a prison officer, which was parked in the parking lot of an apartment building in Haidari and

5) throwing a grenade and exploding an improvised explosive device on 24-06-2023 in the yard of a house in Larissa.
