Tension prevailed for a few minutes at the main entrance of AUTH, in Thessaloniki, when taxi driver carrying a woman with a minor in her arms wanted to pass to enter the university. There he met them students who have blocked access to the university since early morning, reacting to the non-state universities.
The taxi driver lost his temper, got out of his vehicle and shouted at the students. In fact, as you will see in the Voria.gr video, he threatened to hit the students who were holding banners blocking the entrance with his vehicle and the tension rose even more.
The students explained to the taxi driver that they have symbolically blocked the university for a while, due to the debate on the bill providing for the establishment of non-state universities. He was then told to enter through another entrance, which they have left open.
The taxi driver also threatened one of the students to punch him in the facewhen he told him to leave the scene.
After all the passenger with her baby got out of the taxi and entered the university on foot.
