An inexhaustible river of carnival mood will overflow its streets Patras on Sunday March 10, 2024 at 11 am with the Children’s Parade writing the brightest page of the Children’s Carnival.

At the starting point of the Parade there will be approx 20,000 small carnival-goers with attendants divided into 122 participation groups, surpassing any participation precedent, the announcement states, and they will flood the main streets of the city, spreading children’s smiles, freshness and optimism everywhere.

The Great Parade of the Little Ones will have its starting point at Omonia Square and will follow the route: Gounari – Korinthos (lower part of Georgiou Square) – Korinthos ending and exiting at Ermou and Ag. Nikolaou.

The Municipal Music will participate, the floats of the Carnival of the Little ones that have been made in the Carnival Workshop of the Municipality of Patreon (responsible: Nikos Livanis), in which there are two new ones that will be presented for the first time. These are the “Carnival Baby” (idea, production: Giorgos Babilis) and “Travel and Fantasy” (idea, production: Nektarios Sarigiannis), while the older “Iguana”, “Carousel”, “Dog”, “Moon” will also be paraded “, “Cipede”, “Circus” and the musical chariot.

Immediately after, the participation groups will follow with colors, imagination, humor, endless fun and joy. This year, several groups from outside Patras participate in the parade, including from Chalandri Attica, Nafpaktos, Chalandritsa, Dymi, Fraga Achaia, Farres, Alissos, Vassiliko, Lakkopetra, Kato Achaia. Participating are primary schools, kindergartens, kindergartens and nurseries, children’s creative employment centers, dance schools, local associations, KDAP MEA.

At the end of the parade, the established chocolate war will sweeten young and old, leaving its own special touch.
